Legalizing Marijuana or Gay Marriage, which one is more controversial?

If you had to decide between the two, what would be a christ-like response? Please don't say neither, that is not an option in this hypothetical situation. Would you choose weed so that homosexuals can't marry, or gay weddings so we can't smoke pot? You can't vote for both laws either. This is a question of your ethics. I would like atheist and religious answers. I think I already know the responses each group will give me. Let's see if you can prove me wrong.
