I need help finding a game i used to play like 5 years ago.?

the beginning level of the game took place in a busted down community that you have to rebuild because some darkness or some **** destroyed it, and darkness and all its little demons or minions are in the cave that you search through to rebuild the community. whenever you kill these bitches (with like a wrench or some ****) a tennis ball looking thing floats open and you open it. the character you play kinda looks like sora but he isnt. then you get on a train i think and go to this town and theres a circus with circus freaks, idk thats all i remember i really need help i loved that game so muchhhhh!!!!! please someone, i dont know the name or remember much of it,
