Will Niacin with Flush help cure my hyperpigmentation (the darkening of skin in areas of my face due to acne)?

Hey, I am 15, male and from Africa so have dark skin. I have hyperpigmentation (the darkening in some areas of my face due to me picking at my acne) it is quite bad on my cheeks). I have heard that niacin with flush will help but I am wondering if anyone has tried it and had success with it. Also does anyone know any products put there the will help it? In the end I really just want my skin on my face to be all one shade. Please help!!!!!!!!! Thanks :)
