What is wrong with my laptop screen?

It could be just a defective screen. Depending on how much shipping costs I would send it back. The reason being that you do not want to end up with a laptop screen that doesn't work at all. If the laptop is brand new then I would have an intense conversation with Tiger Direct on why they can't pay the shipping to return the product. But, if you do end up paying the shipping to return it, then that would be better then forking out the money for a replacement screen after the warranty on the laptop expires.
